Another Year Comes to an End
So here we are at the end of another year. It happens so fast! Remember when you were a kid and summer vacation went on forever and it seemed that your birthday would never come...it was just soooo far away. I remember feeling that way like it was yesterday and also like it was a million years ago. This year passed so fast!
2008 was a good year. Some of you already know that I have moved my studio. Last month I moved downtown and the new location is great! It is still a work in progress but it is coming together. Parking can be a bit of an issue but I'll get used to it. I suppose I will have to leave myself a little extra time...which means leaving earlier...which means not rushing...now that would be amazing if I could pull that off on a regular basis!
I have had such a wonderful time making photo memories for so many of you during 2008. I have the best job EVER! I get to shoot your weddings and maternity sessions and your brand new babies and your hilarious toddlers and your sweet kids. I truly do have the best job! It is a blessing to watch your families and children grow and to be a part of documenting your families. I have the BEST friends, family and clients! Thank you all.
I wish for us all in this coming year; happiness, prosperity, laughter and FUN!
Love,
Govinda Jaya ;-)
You are so beautiful. You remind me of Grace Kelly...regal beauty. I just love these pictures with big brother Jack. Super Sweet!
It was great to see you Adam and Jack and I look forward to meeting the new baby!
~Happy Holidays~
Ashlynn and Brianna came into the world a bit early, but they are healthy strong 3 1/2 month old baby girls.
I had just been talking to a friend about how I looked forward to doing a session with a set of twins...in fact I had been thinking that for quite a while. Well....the very next day the girls mama called to set up a session! Yay!
Here are some of my favorites...
This is 11 month old Henry...he won my heart in about half of a second flat!!! So cute and soooo much personality. He got all fired up and gave me so many of his sweet little faces.
I shot this session at their house in the front yard. They are almond farmers and live surrounded by beautiful orchards.
Here are a handful of my favorite images...it was hard for me to choose just a few to post.
First it was off to Palm Springs. Valerie was umpiring in the USA Field Hockey Festival. I tagged along. My Aunt and Uncle also came to Palm Springs and I joined them with my cousins Kellee and Krissee for Thanksgiving brunch at the Hilton. DELISH!!! After the festival, Valerie and I headed up to L.A. to visit my friend Jenny and her family. While at Jenny's I shot a family session with her friend and neighbor on the beach in Santa Monica. I will post some of those BEAUTIFUL images soon! We spent the last few days of our vacation at the Ocean View Hotel in Santa Monica...and we had a beautiful ocean view!! Of course I did some shopping...I got a couple new peices of art in Venice...I can't wait to get them on the walls!
